The studio
Unbleached, undyed, uncomplicated
Kora means raw cloth: cotton as it comes off the loom, before it is bleached, dyed or finished. It is also how we started, with a single roll of kora khadi on a cutting table in Navrangpura in 2019.
We design and cut everything in Ahmedabad. Our tailors work salaried, five days a week, in a studio with windows on three sides. A kurta takes one of them about four hours from marking to final press.
The cloth comes from eleven weaving households we know by name. Khadi from a spinning centre in Ponduru, pit-loom cotton from Bhujodi in Kutch, mulmul from Phulia, and mashru from two looms in Patan. We agree the price before the warp is set and pay half up front, so no one weaves on credit.
We keep most of it undyed. When we do add colour it is done by hand in Ajrakhpur and Bagru, with iron, harda, madder, kattha and indigo. The shades vary from batch to batch and we write that on the label.

- Garments ship in 3 days from Ahmedabad, fabric cut to order in 2 days. Delivery takes 2 to 5 working days across India by Blue Dart or India Post. Free above ₹3,000, otherwise ₹150.
- Cash on delivery
- Available on orders up to ₹10,000, for pin codes our courier serves. A ₹50 handling charge applies.
- Returns and exchanges
- Return or exchange any garment within 7 days of delivery, unworn with tags attached. We book the pickup; refunds reach you within 5 working days. Fabric cut to length can only be returned if it is damaged or wrongly cut.
- Sizing and alterations
- Every product page has its own size guide. Alterations on Kora garments are free within 30 days: post it back or bring it to the studio.
